Scope of this privacy notice
This Privacy Policy describes the Spry Movers website’s Google reviews feature and the ordinary hosting requests involved in viewing the website. It explains which connections occur, what the review display contains, and how Google is involved. It is not a statement about every information-handling activity associated with moving services or other business interactions.
You do not need to submit a review or make a booking to view the displayed Google feedback. The reviews feature loads automatically in your browser; it does not wait for you to click a Google source link. Please consider the automatic connections described below when deciding whether to visit a page containing the feature.
How reviews and images reach your browser
Your browser requests the review display from our website, and our server requests Spry Movers business details from Google Places using the business’s Place ID. The response can include the business rating, total review count, and up to five reviews selected by Google for relevance, not necessarily the newest reviews or all available reviews.
The browser displays the review text, ratings, author attribution, and source links supplied by Google. It also loads remote author avatar images. Those image requests connect your browser directly to Google’s image-hosting services and transmit your IP address and browser information as part of the request. This can happen without you clicking an author or source link.
While a page containing the feature is visible, it refreshes every five minutes. Returning to the tab also triggers a refresh. These requests obtain a fresh display from the server and Google rather than relying on a persistently stored collection of reviews.
Review data and ordinary hosting logs
Spry Movers does not persistently store or cache Google review content. The current response is used to display the reviews in the browser. The business Place ID may be retained to identify the correct Google listing; it identifies the business location, not an individual website visitor.
Ordinary hosting request logs exist separately from the review content. Website requests can leave technical information in those logs, such as an IP address, browser information, requested URL, request time, and response status. The statement about not persistently storing Google reviews is not a promise that hosting logs are absent, nor does it set a retention period for all website information.
Google links, policies, and privacy questions
Following an author link or a Google source link takes your browser to Google and transmits connection information, including your IP address and browser information. Google controls its own services and handling of those requests. Its Privacy Policy explains its information practices, including practices that may depend on your Google account and settings.
